Flotec Introduce Employee Recognition Awards

Flotec are proud to announce that the business has introduced Employee Recognition Awards for the first time! These awards have been created to recognise the dedication and commitment from the long-standing employees of Flotec.
We believe that employees should be shown appreciation for their hard work over the years, as they’ve supported the business to grow. Flotec MD, Julian Davies said "I introduced the awards to show recognition to staff and to thank them for all their hard work, dedication and loyalty to the business. I wanted to identify those who have done the time and celebrate their commitment to the business.”
The first round of awards were presented on Tuesday 17th of September 2019 and over all there were four types of awards available; The 5-year award, the 10-year award, 15-year award and the 20-year award.
The recognised employees were presented with a certificate in an office celebration.
Congratulations to the following;
Chloe Lofthouse - 5 years with Flotec.
“Chloe started at Flotec in May 2014 as an apprentice and took on a Purchasing Assistant role. During the 5 years she has been with Flotec, Chloe’s career has progressed, and she has become an integral part of the business. Chloe has achieved many goals and is now the Purchasing Manager for Flotec Industrial. It has been a pleasure to work with Chloe and long may it continue.” – Sam Green, Sales Manager
Ryan Hickman - 10 years with Flotec.
"Ryan joined us when he was 18-year-old. He has worked hard and gained much knowledge, which has supported him to go through the system and is now part of the Management Team, as well as being our Warehouse Manager. Well done Ryan.” - Julian Davies, MD
Sam Green - 10 years with Flotec.
“Sam again came as an 18-year-old chip on his shoulder kid who had all the attitude. Sam started in the warehouse which then evolved to a sales role. An opportunity came along where the Sales Manager at the time left, and so we gave him the opportunity to step up and see if he could prove himself, which he did. He got the job and is now part of the Management Team moving forward and is an integral part of the business decisions.” – Julian Davies, MD
Judith Bullers - 15 years with Flotec.
“We were doing a transfer of computer systems and Judith said she would come and help us with the project, as our existing accounts lady needed support. We got a 6-month contract where Judith would help us with transfer. From then, Judith stayed and 15 years later she is still here! Judith has elevated to Finance Director and is also part of the Management Team, paving the path of Flotec. Thank you for all your support and congratulations Judith.” – Julian Davies, MD
Sophie Wright - 8 years with Flotec.
‘Sophie has been working with me for 8 years, she started as an apprentice and it has been such a pleasure to see her grow in knowledge and confidence in the business. She is a fantastic support to me.” – Judith Bullers, Financial Director.
Maria Smith - 21 years with Flotec.
“Maria is the longest standing member of staff, being here for 21 years. Maria came as part time after having her children. Maria went out knocking on doors and building up relationships and just putting the word of Flotec out there when we first started. She then grew and developed a lot of accounts for us, she also took on a lot of existing accounts and managed them. Maria has the customer’s best interests at heart and is very customer focused. She always makes sure to look after the customers and ensures they get what they want, which is always a good thing for the business to be aware of. Maria got up to 200+ customers and then changed to a role of business development and when we launched the Rail Division. Maria was the first one that I called upon to help us in that market place, which has been a great success since we first started developing and building it. Maria also excels on the networking side of the business and got us to many heights. She is now a Board Member of the Rail Forum, supporting rail companies and contributing to communications.” – Julian Davies, MD.
Lee Jones - 7 years with Flotec.
“Lee joined us 7 years ago. He started on production and worked his way through to become Production Supervisor. He continues to be a big part of the warehouse team and an important part of Flotec’s future. We thank him for his hard work and achievements.” – Ryan Hickman, Warehouse Manager.
